Amed Adventures: A Perfect Family-Friendly Day in Bali

Loading video player...

Day 2 of our Bali road trip to Amed and it was packed with little adventures! We started the morning early with sunrise coffees and drone flights over the coastline, then enjoyed pancakes and fresh fruit at our villa. Chad and I hired a scooter for the day (about $15) and stopped for a morning coffee on the way into town. After a quick supplies run, we headed back to the villa to try turtle spotting with the drone — no luck, but so much fun! Lunch was at Warung Enak in Amed (a great local spot for delicious Indonesian food), then we popped by Amed Salt to stock up. Back at the villa, we played UNO, went for an ocean swim, and even tried underwater rock running (way harder than it looks!). Later in the afternoon, Lola and I grabbed frozen yogurt, then it was back into town for dinner at Warung Bobo. We hired glass-bottom kayaks and saw the most incredible coral and tropical fish. The perfect end to the day? A quick ice cream stop at Indomaret before heading home to rest for more adventures tomorrow. Amed is the perfect spot if you’re looking for family-friendly activities in Bali, quiet beaches, and a slower pace of life away from the tourist crowds. ☕️ @omkarmacafebali 🍽️ @warung_enak_amed 🧂 @garam.amedbali 🍨 @sweetumsforthetums 🍲 @warungbobo 🍦 @indomaret #AmedBali #BaliFamilyFinds #ChadAndMia #BaliRoadTrip #BaliWithKids

Day 2 of our Bali road trip brought us to the charming village of Amed — and what a day it was! We kicked things off just after dawn with hot coffee in hand, watching the golden sunrise over the ocean. A few drone flights later, we were back at the villa for a cozy breakfast of fluffy pancakes and fresh tropical fruit. With the kids content at the villa, Chad and I rented a scooter (just $15 for the day!) and rode into town. We grabbed another coffee at @omkarmacafebali before picking up some essentials. Back at the villa, we tried our luck at turtle spotting with the drone. No turtles this time, but lots of laughs! For lunch, we headed to @warung_enak_amed — a must-visit for authentic Indonesian dishes that both adults and kids will love. Bellies full, we stopped by @garam.amedbali to grab some locally harvested sea salt — a great Bali souvenir! The afternoon was all about family fun. We played a few victorious rounds of UNO, took a refreshing swim in the calm Amed waters, and gave underwater rock running a go — it’s as tough as it sounds, but so much fun! Later, Lola and I made a sweet stop at @sweetumsforthetums for frozen yogurt before heading to Warung Bobo for dinner. The highlight? Renting glass-bottom kayaks to explore the colorful coral reefs and playful tropical fish, a magical experience that delighted the whole family. As the stars came out, we made one last snack stop at @indomaret for ice cream before heading back to our villa. Amed truly offers the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and local charm — ideal for families exploring Bali off the beaten path. #AmedBali #BaliFamilyFinds #ChadAndMia #BaliRoadTrip #BaliWithKids
