๐ฒ ARE YOU A BOARD GAME FAMILY ON HOLIDAYS? ๐ I've got to admit... I didn't grow up in a board game family. They just weren't really a thing in our house. ๐ But somewhere along the way, we've discovered that board and card games are actually such an easy way to spend time together as a family. Especially when we're travelling. Sometimes we'll stay somewhere and they'll have a few games available that we've never played before, and the kids will immediately want to give them a go. No screens. No organising an activity. No having to leave the villa. Just everyone sitting around the table, figuring out the rules, getting competitive and usually having a good laugh. ๐ And the funny thing is, our kids now sometimes get the games out without us even asking. They've even started making their own games, including one they invented called SNAGS, based entirely around the very Australian tradition of Bunnings sausage sizzles. ๐ญ๐ Which honestly feels like a pretty good sign that we've accidentally created a board game family. When you're travelling as a family, you don't always need to be doing something BIG. Sometimes the best memories are made sitting around a table playing a random game you've never heard of, or making up your own. โค๏ธ Memories don't always need to cost anything. So I'm curious... ๐ฒ Is your family a board game family? ๐ What's the one game you ALWAYS take on holidays? ๐๐ผ And what game should we try next? I need some new ones for the next family getaway! ๐
