Looking for an unforgettable family day trip from Bali? Our Aussie family—currently loving life on the Island of the Gods—couldn’t resist hopping over to Nusa Penida for a mini island adventure with the kids. Just a 45-minute fast boat ride from Sanur, this slice of paradise offered the perfect mix of adventure, discovery, and jaw-dropping scenery. 🌴⛴️ Our first stop? Kelingking Beach, where that iconic T-Rex shaped cliff blew the kids away (and gave us parents a tiny heartache watching them near the edge—hold those hands tight!). For a more relaxed moment, Crystal Bay was perfect for a beachside picnic and gentle paddling in the shallows. Traveling Nusa Penida with kids? Take it slow. The roads are bumpy and distances between sights can be deceiving. Hiring a reputable driver made the journey stress-free, and bringing plenty of snacks saved the day more than once. One highlight was stumbling upon a quieter beach tucked below the cliffs—calm, clean, and ideal for curious little explorers. While the island’s rugged beauty is the main draw, the look on our kids’ faces as they discovered tiny sea creatures in tide pools was the real treasure. Top tips: Wear good walking shoes, pack reef-safe sunscreen, and don't forget spare clothes—the kids WILL end up sandy and soaked. And if you’re prone to motion sickness, the fast boat can get choppy, so be prepared. Nusa Penida reminded us that a change of scenery—even just for a day—can spark big memories. Whether you're holidaying in Bali or living there like us, this side trip is a must for adventurous families. 🌊👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 #NusaPenidaWithKids #BaliDayTrips #FamilyTravel #IslandAdventures #BaliWithKids #WanderlustWithKids
