Day 6 of our Bali road trip was nothing short of magical as we journeyed through the lush landscapes of Bedugul and Ubud. These destinations perfectly capture Bali’s unique charm, making them must-visits for families craving both relaxation and adventure.
Our morning started in Bedugul, known for its cooler climate and serene mountain vibes. We couldn’t miss the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a picturesque spot that appears to float on Lake Beratan’s sparkling waters. The kids loved wandering around the temple grounds while snapping photos of the dreamy mist rolling in over the mountains. A quick stop at the local market nearby was perfect for picking up fresh strawberries and souvenirs. If you’re a family who loves gardens, the Bali Botanical Garden is a peaceful retreat with vast green spaces for the little ones to explore.
By afternoon, we were on our way to Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart. Eat, Pray, Love fans, rejoice—this town has it all! Our first stop? The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The kids were thrilled (and maybe a little cautious) as monkeys frolicked freely around. For a calmer vibe, we strolled along the Campuhan Ridge Walk, soaking in panoramic views of emerald-green hills. Don’t miss out on Ubud’s Art Market, where you can shop for local crafts and art pieces.
Dinner was a family-friendly feast at a cozy restaurant overlooking Ubud’s famous rice terraces. Watching the sunset while savoring local dishes like Nasi Campur was a perfect way to end the day.
