We had an unexpected visitor at the pool today at @komunebali – a tiny baby bird who clearly had no clue that swimming wasn’t his strong suit! 🐦💦 After some serious lifeguard action from us, we scooped him up, dried him off, and warmed him up. The kids were already naming him and planning his new bedroom, but mama bird wasn’t having it. 🐤💛
After a solid two-hour recovery mission, we reunited him with his nest and his squeaky siblings. Crisis averted, feathered friend saved! 🦸♀️🦸♂️

It’s not every day that a poolside adventure turns into a wildlife rescue mission, but that’s exactly what happened during our stay at Komune Bali. As we lounged by the serene pool, we spotted a tiny, flustered baby bird splashing helplessly in the water. Clearly, its wings weren’t built for freestyle just yet! 🐦💦
Our parenting instincts kicked in immediately. With an impromptu lifeguard operation, we gently scooped him out, dried his damp feathers, and kept him warm. The kids were already brainstorming names and debating whether he might prefer their room to his current (and clearly flawed) nest. But as adorable as their enthusiasm was, we knew mama bird would have other ideas! 🐤💛
After a cozy two-hour stint of bird rehab – and plenty of excited squeaks from our feathered friend – we managed to reunite him with his nest and his chirpy siblings. Talk about a happy ending! Crisis averted, a baby bird was back where he belonged, and we’d officially had the most unexpected family bonding moment of our Bali trip.
