We dropped our new Bali rescue pup off at his groomer (he needs a trim every few months to keep that fluffy coat under control) and wandered just down the road to one of our favourite Sanur spots — KooD – The Vegan Project. Even if you’re not vegan, it’s one of those cafés that just feels good — great coffee, fresh food, relaxed vibes, and the perfect shady corner to sit back, chat, and people-watch while waiting for the dog to come back looking fancy.
It’s funny how even the little errands — like taking the dog to the groomers — can turn into mini Bali dates when you let them.

We had a bit of time to kill before picking up Ned, so we strolled over to one of our favorite local cafés, KooD – The Vegan Project. Tucked along the quiet streets of Sanur, this plant-based gem is more than just a spot for vegans — it's a relaxed, breezy haven where you can sip on creamy lattes, tuck into vibrant smoothie bowls, and simply exhale.
There’s something magical about the Sanur vibe: it's peaceful without being sleepy, trendy without the crowds. And KooD captures that perfectly. We found a shady corner, ordered our favorites, and spent that rare uninterrupted time just people-watching and catching up — no distractions, no schedule, just the Bali breeze and good conversation.
By the time our dapper dog returned, fluffier and happier than ever, our spontaneous Bali date had left us feeling recharged and reconnected.
