From Stitches to Stories: Lola's Handmade Gift of Love
Lola’s crochet projects just keep getting more beautiful — and this one might be her most thoughtful yet 💜🧶 Her aunty had originally asked for a hat, but without a head nearby to measure (and after a few giggles over guessing sizes), the plan changed — and Lola decided to make a bag instead. The kind of bag that’s both practical and full of heart. She picked a soft mauve-purple nylon thread — her first time working with this kind of material — and learned quickly that it’s trickier than yarn, but worth every tangle. She added a sturdy base, worked up the sides with a gorgeous textured stitch, and finished it off with thick, strong handles — “strong enough to carry all the love my aunty carries,” as she put it. Watching her create is like watching her grow — every piece she makes is a little more confident, a little more detailed, and a whole lot more generous. What started as a homeschool hobby has become something so special — a way for her to connect, create, and give from the heart. There’s something magic about handmade gifts — they hold the time, care, and love of the maker. And this one? It’s stitched full of all three. 💫 #CrochetKids #HandmadeWithLove #CreativeKids #BaliFamilyLife #SlowCraft #MadeWithLove
