We kicked off the morning in cool, misty Bedugul — a refreshing break from Bali’s coastal heat — where the kids couldn’t wait to dive into strawberry picking at a local farm. Nestled among the lush highlands, these farms let little hands pick ripe, juicy berries straight from the vine. Bonus: tasting as you go is totally part of the fun! Next, we made our way to the beautifully maintained Farm House, which had something for everyone — think garden walks, animal encounters, and great photo spots with mountain views. It’s a relaxing, hands-on way to get kids connected with nature while parents enjoy the laid-back vibe. Of course, no visit to Bedugul is complete without a stop at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Floating gently on the lake’s misty waters, this iconic Hindu structure is one of Bali’s most Instagrammed spots — and for good reason. The serene setting and cool climate made exploring with kids easy and enjoyable. We took our time wandering the temple grounds, learning a bit about Balinese spirituality, and soaking up the mountain air. By midafternoon, we loaded up the car, strawberry baskets in tow, and headed south toward Ubud. The scenic drive wound through lush rice terraces and small villages, making it the perfect time for a nap (for the kids!) and a peaceful ride. Arriving in Ubud felt like entering a wellness retreat. We checked into a cozy, family-friendly stay surrounded by jungle views — the ideal base for our next few days of rest, monkey forest strolls, and more cultural adventures.
