Hi, we’re Chad and Mia! We’ve been on quite a journey, both literally and figuratively, and we’re so excited to share it with you. We’re the proud parents of four amazing kids, ranging from teens to little ones, and as a family, we’ve always believed in living life to the fullest. Our story began in tropical north QLD, Australia, and for years, we lived what many would consider a normal life—until we realised we wanted something more. Chad is the tech-loving, gadget guy with a passion for music, and I (Mia) am all about exploring new places, soaking in good coffee, and trying to find that perfect balance in family life. But as we went through the daily grind of raising kids, working, and managing a busy life, we started to feel like something was missing. So, we made a decision. We sold everything. Every single thing we owned, packed up our caravan, and set out on a month-long trip to Bali. We had no idea what was coming, but we knew we needed change. Bali wasn’t just a holiday for us—it was the spark we needed to see life differently. From the moment we landed, we felt something special. The slower pace, the culture, the people—it all just felt right. We returned to Australia, finished up some loose ends, and made the bold decision to move to Bali for good. Now, here we are, almost a year later, living our dream in this beautiful tropical paradise. We’ve learned so much along the way: from navigating the local customs to finding our place in the Bali community, and most importantly, living more intentionally as a family. The flexibility to homeschool, run businesses, and create a life that fits our values has been the greatest gift we could ever ask for. We started our Bali adventure with a small vision of freedom and excitement, and now we get to share it with you all. As a family of six (yes, with four amazing kids in tow!), we sold everything we owned, packed up our caravan, and leapt headfirst into a new adventure. Returning to Australia only cemented our newfound vision: a life centered around family, freedom, and meaningful experiences. So, we finalized everything, said our goodbyes, and embraced the unknown. Since settling on this stunning Indonesian island, we’ve immersed ourselves in the local culture, learning to navigate customs, build connections, and carve out a community we now call family. The slower pace allows us to homeschool our kids, run our businesses, and rediscover the joy in simply being together. Bali has taught us to live intentionally and appreciate the little things—from sipping a perfectly brewed cup of coffee to uncovering hidden gems tucked away in serene village corners. Our story is about more than just relocating; it’s about finding balance, joy, and a deeper connection to what really matters.
