Why Matching Outfits Are Just Another Day of Love After 20 Years in Bali

December 15, 2025

At this point, Chad and I don’t plan our outfits… they just match themselves. Same colours, same vibe, same style — every. single. day. That’s how you know you’ve been together for 20+ years 😂

After more than 20 years of marriage and countless adventures together, somehow Chad and I have started doing something we never planned: matching outfits. Not on purpose, mind you—it’s like our closets just decided to sync up. Same colors, same fabrics, same mellow Bali vibe… it’s uncanny (and a little hilarious). But honestly? Matching isn’t about being trendy. It’s just what happens when you’ve journeyed through life side-by-side for two decades. Our days in Bali are infused with joy, shared routines, and a deep love that shows up in small, surprising ways—like unintentionally wearing coordinating linen shirts to the Ubud market. Bali has a way of slowing you down and letting you savor these moments. Whether it’s a spontaneous beach picnic in Uluwatu, a sunrise hike up Mount Batur with the kids, or leisurely afternoons in Canggu’s cafes, it’s the little things—matching outfits included—that remind us we’re in this together. For families traveling to Bali, here’s our tip: don’t just focus on the big sights (though they’re incredible!). Lean into simple daily joys. Let the kids try fresh coconut straight from the shell. Wear those breezy Bali pants together. Capture the unfiltered moments—because that’s where the real magic is. After 20+ years, every day still feels like an adventure. And whether we’re color-coordinated or not, we’re showing up together. In love. In rhythm. In (accidental) matching outfits. So if you happen to see two smiling tourists dressed exactly alike roaming the rice terraces—that’s just us, living the love story one Bali day at a time.
