Nusa Penida Day 2 🌬️☀️ – Throwback Edition!
This one’s from our island escape to Nusa Penida – and like all good adventures, things didn’t go quite to plan! 😂 We had hopes for all 5 of us to go paragliding, but a sudden wind change meant only one of us got a turn. We waited it out for a couple more hours, but Bali said “not today!”
So we did what we do best – made the most of it:

🌊 Had a splash and play in the ocean
🌅 Finished the day with a dreamy dinner and a whole lot of gratitude

Day 2 of our Nusa Penida escape was a reminder that adventure often begins when plans go sideways. ☀️ We woke up buzzing with excitement – all five of us were set to tick paragliding off the bucket list. But Mother Nature had other ideas. Just as the first parachute took flight, the winds shifted, abruptly grounding the rest of us.
Did we sulk? Nope. We embraced the unexpected! After a few hopeful hours and some classic Bali patience, we decided it was time to pivot. And honestly, what followed was pure island magic.
First stop? A tiny roadside warung where we stumbled on what might be the best Banh Mi we’ve ever tasted – crusty bread, juicy fillings, and that hint of spice Bali does so well.
Next, we found a quiet stretch of coast and let the kids go full mermaid mode while we cooled off in the turquoise shallows. The laughter, the salt-soaked hair, the impromptu beach games – bliss.
As golden hour rolled in, we wrapped our second (and unexpectedly perfect) day with a family feast under pastel skies. A mix of fresh seafood, cold drinks, and that unmistakable gratitude you feel when travel surprises you in the best way.
