This time last year, we were in the middle of packing up our lives, saying goodbye to our home in Australia, and preparing to step into the unknown. We had no idea what was waiting for us here in Bali, but we knew we wanted something different—for ourselves, for our kids, and for our future. Fast forward to today, and we can honestly say this year has been one of the best and biggest of our lives. It’s been full of growth, learning, and letting go. Some lessons we’ve learned along the way: 🌏 Change is hard, but it’s worth it. Moving to a new country wasn’t easy, but it showed us how adaptable we can be when we trust the process. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family time is everything. Slowing down and spending more time together has reminded us that the best memories aren’t made in schedules—they’re made in moments. 🌱 Less is more. We swapped “stuff” for experiences, and it’s made all the difference. 🌺 Community matters. From locals who’ve welcomed us with open arms to fellow travellers we’ve met along the way, this island has shown us the beauty of connection. 💡 Growth doesn’t stop. The kids have thrived as they’ve explored local traditions, from creating intricate Canang Sari offerings to celebrating colorful festivals.
