How Bali Taught Us to Be a Family Again

<p>Our trip to Bali wasn’t packed with sunrise hikes or a checklist of bucket-list thrills. Instead, it was full of something we hadn’t felt in a while—presence. On this sun-soaked island, we learned to simply be a family again, unhurried and connected.</p> <p>We stopped waking the kids early just to "do more." A quiet moment in a hammock led to spontaneous storytelling.</p> <p>Without a strict itinerary, we noticed a shift in mood. Fewer complaints. More laughter. The kids started making up games with what was around them—shells, shadows, sand. We let go of boredom as something to avoid and started seeing it as the door to creativity.</p> <p>Bali reminded us what real family time looks like.
