Tortoise Troubles in Paradise: Leaf & Twig’s Unexpected Vet Adventure in Bali
Loading video player...
Leaf wasn’t opening his eyes, so off to BVC Vets Sanur we went! Turns out, after a little too much fun digging in the dirt, he had some stuck in his eyes. We brought Twig along for a check-up too, and on the vet’s advice, we’ve introduced Vitamin A to their diet to keep them in top shape. And guess what? I can now officially add syringe feeding a tortoise to my resume! 🏆😂 Huge thanks to the team at @baliveterinaryclinic for taking such good care of our little shelled friends. ❤️ #TortoiseTales #BaliPetLife #LeafAndTwig #VetVisit #BaliVets #TortoiseCare
**Tortoise Troubles in Paradise: Leaf & Twig’s Unexpected Vet Adventure in Bali**
Family life in Bali is rarely boring—especially when you share your home with two adorable tortoises! Recently, we noticed Leaf wasn’t opening his eyes, which, as any tortoise parent knows, is a red flag. So off we went to **Bali Veterinary Clinic in Sanur**, where the incredible team welcomed Leaf and his buddy Twig for a check-up.
The diagnosis? Leaf had gotten a little _too_ enthusiastic during a digging session, and some dirt found its way into his eyes. Thankfully, a gentle clean-up and a check from the pros had him feeling better in no time. Twig came along for moral support—and a wellness check—which revealed they could both benefit from a bit more **Vitamin A** in their diet (hello, leafy greens!).
Interestingly, I also learned a new skill in the most unexpected way: **syringe-feeding a tortoise**! It’s delicate work, but, dare I say, I crushed it. 🐢💪
If you’re a fellow pet-loving family enjoying the Bali lifestyle, knowing there's quality vet care nearby is a huge comfort. **BVC Vets in Sanur** offer compassionate expertise, and we’re so grateful for the kind attention Leaf and Twig received. Whether you’ve got fur babies or shelled slowpokes, they’re in good hands here.
This mini adventure reminded us that even in paradise, pet parenting comes with surprises—and occasionally muddy eyes.
**Pro Tip for Traveling Families in Bali**: Be ready for all kinds of escapades when you're living abroad with pets. Keep a list of trusted local veterinarians on hand, and don't underestimate how much personality fits inside a tortoise shell!
