This week in Bali brought a beautiful mix of adventure, connection, and those serendipitous moments that make family travel truly special. We started our week exploring the lush rice terraces of Tegallalang. The kids loved watching local farmers work the land, and a spontaneous chat with a smiling grandmother weaving coconut leaves left us inspired by the warmth of the Balinese spirit. 🧡 A highlight for the entire family was a visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud. Watching our little ones giggle at playful monkeys (while clutching our snacks a bit tighter!) became one of those unforgettable, joy-filled memories. At Sanur, we saw local fishermen casting their nets as the sunrise painted golden hues on the water’s edge. Our kids joined a group of Balinese children flying kites—a moment that needed no language, just laughter. To wrap up the week, we joined a traditional Balinese cooking class, where our youngest proudly helped grind spices for the sambal. Cooking together, learning about the island’s flavors, and sharing a meal with local hosts reminded us again why Bali feels like a second home.
