It was crazy busy because weâre travelling during a national holiday period, but that energy is part of what makes Jogja feel so alive.
Then it was straight back home for swims, play time, and family hangs.
We usually balance travel with one big adventure day, then a rest day â and this was definitely our reset day. Slow, simple, and just right.

Before we knew it, we were tucked into a becak (the classic Indonesian tricycle taxi), dodging scooters and grinning ear to ear. Somehow, as always, Rocket Chicken ended up on the menu. Thereâs just something about their crispy ayam that hits the spot every time. đ˛đ
By the afternoon, it was back home for swims in the pool, LEGO towers, and giggles under a shady tree. No big plans, no rushingâjust truly being together.
