Exploring the Hidden Gem of Bali: A Visit to Sababay Winery

Exploring the Hidden Gem of Bali: A Visit to Sababay Winery

We recently took our parents to Sababay Winery and honestly… it was so interesting. Most people don’t realise Bali actually has its own winery. Sababay works with local Indonesian grape growers, helps develop sustainable viticulture, and produces wine right here in Indonesia. Seeing what they’re doing for Bali and the wider region from a wine perspective was fascinating. The tour itself is easy, relaxed, and really well explained. You walk through the production process, learn about the local grapes, and finish with a guided tasting. Perfect if you love wine but don’t want anything too long or overwhelming. Such a great option for wine lovers, visiting parents, or anyone wanting to see a different side of Bali beyond beaches and cafes 🍷
