One very special beanie 🤍 This one was made by Lola. What started as her practicing a knitting pattern has turned into something so much bigger. She’s been working away making beanies for all of us, which I’ve been very grateful for when we head up into Central Bali and I’m suddenly rugged up in weather I’m not used to 😅 But this little project has a bigger purpose. After a trip to Kintamani last year, Lola noticed how cold it was early in the mornings, especially for the farmers out working in the fields. She said they would love a topi baru… a new hat. And from that moment, it became her mission 🤍 Beanies for Bali 🤍 She’s been using her own money to buy wool, we’ve had a few donations come in to help, and we order supplies from Jakarta through Tokopedia. For her birthday, she even asked for a knitting machine so she could make more. She’s already given away around 15 beanies to local friends and workers, but now there’s a growing pile in her room… a big bag of beanies waiting for new heads and new homes. Watching her come up with this, drive it herself, and put so much care into something so thoughtful has been really special. Such a simple idea… but such a big heart behind it 🤍
