He stayed right there with her, protecting her, until she passed. Only then did he finally follow our neighbour home. 💔 Over the next few months, he was showered with love — full belly, daily walks, vet visits, vaccines, and care. He was finally safe. Then one day, we spotted him wandering down our gang, fur still patchy but eyes full of light — and that was it. We were completely smitten. It’s not unusual for our neighbour to help rehome dogs, but something about Ned felt different. Maybe it was his goofy grin, or that gentle, grateful energy.
