<p>Sober Sundays look a little different these days—calmer, lighter, and more intentional. Four years ago, Chad and I made the life-changing decision to get sober. At the time, we didn’t fully grasp just how transformative that choice would be. Today, living with our family in beautiful Bali, we can say with full hearts: it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.</p> <p>Embracing sobriety opened the door to so much more than just clarity—it brought us deeper connections with each other and with our children. Mornings now start with sunrises over rice fields, instead of sluggish recoveries. We bike through Ubud’s quiet backroads, explore waterfalls near Munduk, or simply have slow Sunday picnics on the beach in Sanur. These moments, once dulled by the weekend haze, are now the heart of our family rhythm.</p> <p>Bali, with its holistic energy and vibrant wellness scene, has been the ideal place to thrive in this new lifestyle. Instead of happy hours, we hit up smoothie bars and yoga classes. Instead of late nights out, we enjoy family movie nights under the stars or watch fireflies from our garden.
