Standing Tall: Embracing Life’s Boldest Decisions in Bali

Ever made a crazy decision that made everyone around you say, Are you sure about this?! But deep down, you just knew it was right? Yeah, same. There’s something about Mt. Agung, Bali’s tallest and most sacred volcano, that reminds me of that feeling. It stands at 3,031 meters, towering over the island, shaping its landscapes, and holding deep spiritual significance. The Balinese believe it’s the home of the gods—a protector, a guiding force, a reminder of strength. And honestly? Sometimes we all need that reminder. Our life has been filled with some pretty wild decisions—selling everything, moving states, travelling full-time in a caravan, moving to Bali, homeschooling, jumping into new businesses, shifting gears when things don’t go as planned. Some of them have felt as unpredictable as Agung itself (which, by the way, is still very much an active volcano!). But just like this mountain, when we make a decision, we stand in it. Solid. Unshaken. Mt. Agung has erupted multiple times, reshaping the land, testing those who live in its shadow, yet it remains. And isn’t that a bit like life? Sometimes things don’t go smoothly, sometimes there are eruptions, but if you hold steady—if you trust the path—you find a way to keep standing tall. Mt Agung is a force to be reckoned with. A reminder that strength doesn’t come from avoiding the hard stuff—it comes from weathering it. So here’s to standing tall in our choices, even when they seem wild to everyone else. What’s the boldest decision you’ve ever made? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear your story! ⬇️ #MtAgung #BaliVolcano #StandingStrong #BigDecisions #BaliAdventures #VolcanoViews
