A big day here on my own with out Chad! Homeschool, groceries, science experiments, wonton making… I’m exhausted! Welcome to iur life in Bali #bali #balifood #familydinner #homeschool #familyvlog #asmrvlog
Ever wondered what a typical family day in Bali looks like? Let me take you behind the scenes of one of our packed-yet-rewarding days. With Chad away, it was just me and the kids tackling homeschooling, running errands, getting creative with science experiments, and whipping up a scrumptious family dinner—wontons!
Our day kicked off with homeschooling. One of the joys of living in Bali is the flexibility to craft an education that works for our family. Today’s subjects? Math and nature science! The kids got hands-on with a fun experiment, exploring the properties of water and temperature—a hit with their curious minds!
Next up, grocery shopping. Bali’s vibrant markets are a sensory overload in the best way possible. We picked up fresh veggies, herbs, and ground meat for our wonton adventure. Shopping here makes the whole farm-to-table concept tangible, a refreshing change from pre-packaged lifestyles. I even had time for a heart-to-heart chat with a local vendor, learning a recipe tip or two.
By the afternoon, we rolled up our sleeves and transformed the kitchen into wonton central. Folding, pinching, and stuffing wontons became a family bonding activity, full of giggles and flour-dusted faces. The result? Perfectly crispy, golden wontons with a flavorful filling—a testament to teamwork and Bali’s incredible ingredients.
Even though I ended the day thoroughly exhausted, it was the kind of tiredness that leaves your heart full. Every day in Bali brings us closer as a family and teaches us to embrace a slower, intentional way of living. So whether you’re thinking of visiting or making the leap to live here, know this: Bali has a way of weaving magic even into the simplest moments, from homeschooling to homemade wontons.
