It’s easy to scroll through our feed, see the palm trees and rice fields, and think life in Bali is always picture-perfect. And truthfully, most days are magical—but our Bali chapter didn’t begin without sacrifice. Before our toes touched Bali’s black sand beaches, we made some pretty big life moves. We left comfort zones, careers, and daily routines. We said emotional goodbyes to lifelong friends, and even harder ones to family. Uprooting with kids is never a small thing—but we believed in trading familiarity for possibility. And we’re so glad we did. Kintamani Breeze, where we’re currently soaking in the mountain air, is a reminder of why we came. Cool mornings, incredible views, and space for our kids to run wild and free. This little slice of Bali gives us both the adventure and calm we were craving as a family. That said, Bali family life takes teamwork. Behind every dreamy post is a hundred decisions, a few mishaps, and loads of compromise. We’re learning as we go—about culture, community, and what it means to grow together in a totally new place.
