From Australia to Bali: Our First Month of Family Adventures 🌴

Saying goodbye to Australia was bittersweet, but the promise of new adventures in Bali filled us with excitement. 🌏 Stepping off the plane, we were greeted by Bali’s warm, tropical embrace—and a symphony of scooter horns and rooster crows. Yes, rooster crows! 🐓 Our first week included adjusting to the local soundtrack, courtesy of the kampung (village) life surrounding us. It’s quirky, noisy, and oddly charming. Settling into our new villa felt like a dream. With palm trees swaying in the courtyard and our kids squealing over the pool, it quickly became our slice of paradise. 🏡💦 But Bali isn’t _just_ about the postcard moments. Daily life here is a blend of unexpected surprises and simple joys—like scooter rides with the breeze in your hair, chasing sunsets, and discovering vibrant warungs (local eateries) where the food is as flavorful as the smiles are warm. 🍜🌅 Of course, moving to Bali with kids meant navigating a few hiccups too. Grocery shopping? A fun cultural treasure hunt! Balancing work and family? An ongoing challenge, but the freedom we’re creating as a family makes every tough moment worth it. 💕 Watching the kids adapt so fearlessly has been the highlight, as they’ve swapped screens for bamboo swings and made new friends despite language barriers. One month in, and we’ve already fallen in love with the rhythm of Bali life. From exploring rice fields to meeting expat families who’ve taken us under their wing, every day feels like a new chapter in this shared adventure.
