Dining Out After Gastric Sleeve: A Bali Experience

Quick lunch while I’m out today 🤍 Eating out is always a bit funny for me after gastric sleeve surgery. I’m forever torn between ordering spring rolls because they’re usually the smallest thing on the menu, or ordering what I actually want and knowing I’ll only eat a few bites. Then comes the moment where the staff notice I haven’t finished and gently ask if something was wrong with the food. Cue me explaining I have a very small stomach and can’t eat much, which usually ends in a very confused look 😅 Even when I ask for half portions or quarter portions, it still throws people off. Anyway, this rice with chicken, veg and cashews was absolutely delicious. I ate what I could, enjoyed every bite, and took the rest home in a takeaway box for one of the big boys to polish off. Everyone wins 🍚🤍
