Embracing Sunrise: Discovering the Magic of Bali Mornings
I wouldn't consider myself a morning person. If you asked me at home whether I'd voluntarily wake up before sunrise, the answer would almost always be no π But something strange happens when we travel. No alarms. No pressure. No plans. Yet somehow I'm awake before everyone else. Coffee in hand, walking quietly through a place that's still asleep, waiting for the first light to arrive π€ I've realised over the years that sunrise has become my way of introducing myself to a new place. Before the crowds arrive. Before the itinerary starts. Before the photos and the activities and the distractions. Just me and wherever we happen to be. This morning was West Bali. The air was still. The ocean was calm. The sky slowly shifted from dark blue to gold. And for a few minutes it felt like the whole world was holding its breath. I think that's why I keep getting up. Not because I'm a morning person. But because every sunrise feels like a quiet welcome. A reminder that we're somewhere new. Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere worth slowing down long enough to notice. And honestly, those early morning moments often become the ones I remember most π π€
