Why I Keep Writing from Bali — Even on the Hard Days

Long-winded? Maybe. Worth it? I hope so. I often get asked “How do you write so much?” and the honest answer is — sometimes I don’t. Some days, I sit at a quiet café, order a hot coffee, open the laptop, and the words just pour out like I’ve been holding my breath waiting to exhale them. Whole weeks' worth of thoughts, tips, ramblings, and memories spill out in under an hour. Other days? I push myself to finish even one post, second-guessing every word. But I keep showing up — because I love sharing this Bali life with you all. Whether it’s a helpful tip for your family holiday, a heads-up about a hidden gem, or just a funny little moment from our day — my hope is that you find something in each post. Maybe it helps you plan better. Maybe it saves you a few dollars. Or maybe it just makes you feel like you’re right here with us — part of the ride. I write these long-winded captions like I’m writing to a friend over coffee. No filter. No perfect plan. Just real stories, shared from the heart. Speaking of coffee — today’s ramble is brought to you by Mendin Café on Tamblingan, a big air-conditioned space with great coffee, seriously good food, and a comfy spot out front to watch the world of Sanur roll on by. If you’re in the area and need a place to write, or just sit and chill with a cold one — I highly recommend it. So thank you for reading — for being here, for commenting, for messaging us to say one of our tips saved your travel day. It means more than you know. And I’ll keep writing, rambling, and oversharing — coffee in hand — if you’ll keep reading ❤️ #BaliFamilyFinds #ChadAndMiaOfficial #BehindTheScenesBali #BaliWithKids #BaliHolidayTips #BaliCafes #WorkingInBali #BaliBloggers #MendinSanur #TamblinganSpots #FamilyTravelAsia #DigitalNomadFamily #SlowTravelBali

I often get asked, “How do you write so much while traveling?” The short answer: sometimes I don’t. Not every day is productive. Some days, the words just won’t come — even in beautiful Bali. But then there are days where the inspiration hits, and it’s like the island whispers a whole week of stories I can’t type fast enough. And that’s why I keep showing up. Because sharing this life — the real Bali — with you is worth every stumbling sentence. From hidden beaches we find by accident to our go-to spots for kid-friendly eats in Sanur, every blog post and caption is like a postcard from our family to yours. Whether I’m telling you where to get the best iced latte (spoiler: Mendin Café on Tamblingan!) or just sharing a messy travel moment, my hope is that it makes your Bali experience a little smoother — a little more real. Mendin Café, by the way, is today’s writing spot of choice. It’s spacious, air-conditioned (crucial with kids in tow), and offers both great coffee and curbside views of everyday Sanur life. It’s a gem for digital nomads and parents who just need a moment to breathe (and maybe type out a few thoughts). So thanks for being here — for reading, saving tips, or messaging us with your own stories. Every comment reminds me that these ramblings help someone plan their trip, save time, or just feel connected. We’ll keep writing, filming, oversharing — coffee in hand and kids probably just off camera — if you’ll keep joining us on this ride. ☀️🧳 #BaliFamilyFinds #SlowTravelBali #BaliWithKids #WorkingInBali #MendinSanur #SanurCafes #DigitalNomadLife #FamilyTravelAsia #BaliHolidayTips
