Part 2 of our unforgettable day at Bali Zoo 🐘🌿
The afternoon was all about elephant mud fun – a once-in-a-lifetime experience where we got down and dirty (in the best way!) with these gentle giants. Pure magic.
Afterwards, we headed back to our Sanctoo villa for a soak in the tub, with limas literally playing outside our window! As the kids chilled, Chad and I snuck away for a massage by a waterfall — yes, a MASSAGE. BY. A. WATERFALL. 🤯🌊
Then it was back to parenting mode with dinner and bedtime routines, ready for another big adventure tomorrow… spoiler: it’s a cold one – jumpers required! 🧥

Part 2 of our Bali family adventure was truly one for the memory books. After an action-packed morning at Bali Zoo, the afternoon brought something we’ll never forget: Elephant Mud Fun! 🐘🌿 Suited up and ready to get messy, we spent time bonding with these majestic creatures in the mud — scrubbing, splashing, and learning about their care. The kids couldn’t stop giggling, and honestly, neither could we. It was not only fun but incredibly humbling.
After rinsing off, we returned to Sanctoo Villas — an oasis nestled right next to the zoo. As the kids decompressed with snacks and cartoons in our private villa (while lemurs played just outside the window!), Chad and I took a rare moment for ourselves and slipped away for a spa treatment. But not just any treatment — a couples massage _under a waterfall_. The sound of rushing water, the scent of frangipani in the air…it felt like a dream. 🌊💆♀️
Evening rolled in and it was back to parenting mode: dinner, bedtime stories, and packing for tomorrow’s adventure (tip: bring a jumper — it’s going to be chilly!).
