Day 1 of our West Bali adventure 🌴 We left Sanur and made our way up toward the north west… about a 2 hour drive with a stop for lunch on the south side of Bedugul (highly recommend breaking the drive up 👌) From there we headed through Singaraja, turned left, drove through Lovina and kept going west… and you can really feel Bali start to change the further you go. Slower, quieter, less busy 🤍 We checked into our accommodation… and then checked straight back out 😅 Nothing wrong with the place itself, but there were extra national park fees (200k per person, per day) that weren’t disclosed on Booking.com. For our family of 6 over 5 days… that was an extra 6 juta IDR (around $600 AUD) 😳 So we made the call to cancel and pivot… …and honestly, best decision. We took that budget and checked into a spot I’ve been eyeing off for ages instead 👀 Got settled, headed straight down to the beach restaurant for dinner, and called it a night. Day 1 done 🤍 Bring on Day 2 of West Bali tomorrow 🌴✨
