Rare Angon translates to "Shepherd Boy", and legend tells of a young shepherd who returns after the rice harvest carrying a bamboo flute, calling the wind so the giant kites can rise into the sky. It's stories like these that make me appreciate Bali even more. Behind so many traditions is a history that's been passed down through generations.
