Why We Prioritize Chiropractic Care as a Family Living in Bali

I’ve been seeing an osteopath or chiropractor since I was about two years old — it’s always been a part of my life. I grew up learning that knowing your body and paying attention when something feels “off” isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. In fact, fun fact (or maybe weird fact?): one of my first dates with Chad back in 2003 wasn’t dinner and a movie… it was a trip to the osteopath! I had been struggling with back pain for a while, and after my appointment, Chad (who had never been before) decided to give it a go too — and that was it, he was hooked. Ever since, it’s been something we do to keep ourselves healthy and moving well. So when we moved to Bali, one of my biggest concerns wasn’t just schools or shopping — it was, can we still access good allied health care? And the short answer is: yes! From expat-run clinics with fully qualified chiropractors and osteopaths, to incredible Indonesian-trained practitioners who come from long lines of traditional bone aligners and healers — Bali actually has a rich wellness culture. The care we’ve received here has been amazing, and I love that there are options depending on your preference and need. We go for regular “tune-ups” to keep things aligned — because let’s be honest, parenting, homeschooling, businesses, and just life can take its toll on the body. And we’re really grateful we’ve found trusted professionals here to help keep us going. So if you’re planning to stay for a while, or even if you’re just visiting and your back’s giving you grief — Bali’s got your spine covered 😉💆‍♀️💫 #BaliChiropractor #WellnessInBali #BaliWithKids #FamilyHealthBali #ChiropracticCare #LivingInBali #ExpatLifeBali #BaliFamilyFinds #AlliedHealthInBali #MoveWellLiveWell

Chiropractic care has been an essential part of my life since I was a toddler—it’s how I learned to tune in to my body, stay aligned, and move through life with ease. So naturally, when we moved our family to Bali, finding trusted allied health professionals was high on my list of priorities (right up there with good schools and a decent grocery store!). Luckily, Bali’s wellness scene is thriving. From well-established expat-run clinics staffed with internationally trained osteopaths and chiropractors, to highly respected local practitioners rooted in generations of traditional healing, the island offers a surprisingly diverse range of options. We’ve been blown away by the level of care here—and grateful to continue our wellness routines without skipping a beat. Both my husband and I are long-time believers—fun fact: one of our first dates back in 2003 was actually a trip to the osteopath. Romantic? Not exactly. Important? Absolutely. Chad had never been before, but after seeing me walk out pain-free, he booked his own appointment on the spot. He’s been hooked ever since. These days, with the crazy juggle of parenting, homeschooling our kids, and running businesses, we see our chiropractor regularly for what we affectionately call “tune-ups.” It's one of the key ways we stay healthy and energized in our busy Bali life. So if you're making Bali your temporary or permanent home—or even visiting on holiday—a sore back or stiff neck doesn’t have to put a damper on your adventures. Take advantage of the island’s deep wellness roots and quality care. Bali’s got your spine covered 😉💆‍♀️💫 #BaliChiropractor #WellnessInBali #FamilyHealthBali #LivingInBali #MoveWellLiveWell
