A Day in the Life of a Family Living in Bali

<p>Not every day in Bali is about waterfalls and beach clubs. In fact, about 65% of our days here are full of wonderfully ordinary moments—think homeschool sessions at the kitchen table, quick sweep-ups of sandy floors, and grocery runs to the local market where mangoes are always in season.</p> <p>Our mornings usually start with calm coffee rituals (for us) and math worksheets (for the kids). Once the day gets rolling, we take turns managing home-based work tasks, sneaking in a bit of yoga or pool play between virtual meetings and phonics lessons.</p> <p>Today brought a little unexpected fun—Chad and Fox went out for what was supposed to be just a haircut. They returned not only with fresh new styles, but two bright blue koi fish in tow! Apparently, the local barber also sells fish… because, Bali.</p> <p>Afternoons are for errands—stocking up on tropical fruit, grabbing coconut water from the corner shop, and the occasional roadside satay snack. We try to mix in family walks or bike rides, always ending back home before the afternoon showers roll in.</p> <p>Dinner tonight was one of our go-to Bali family meals: veggie-packed nacho bowls. Simple, colorful, and a hit with the kids every time. As the sun sets over the rice fields, we pile onto the porch, tuck into our bowls, and share our favorite moment from the day (today’s fish surprise definitely took the win!).</p> <p>This, more than anything else, is what family life in Bali really looks like—easy rhythms, small joys, and the space to find adventure in the everyday. 🌿🐟</p>
