Day 3 in Kintamani brought chilly mountain air and… still no hot water in our cabin showers. Ah, mountain life! Thankfully, the other two cabins had hot baths and “sort-of” warm showers to keep us from turning into icicles. To warm up, we climbed higher into the hills in search of coffee and found an absolute gem — @ritatkala.batur. Picture piping hot cappuccinos, hearty breakfast plates, and a cozy mountain vibe that made us want to linger all morning. If you’re in Kintamani, this café is a must! Fueled and caffeinated, our next stop was @thegrandlagunas — think school camp meets adventure park with a rainbow slide, flying fox, treetop jungle walks, and a high ropes course. It was the kind of place that surprised us — tucked away in the highlands, yet packed with fun for the whole family. Even the adults couldn’t resist a turn down that rainbow slide! We headed back to the cabins for a chill afternoon (did we finally get hot water? Kind of!) and later made our way to @milusidecafe for an unforgettable sunset. This little food truck-style spot sits right on the lake’s edge and serves up street eats with a view to match. Perfect for winding down after a big day. With bellies full and skies glowing pink, we ended the night wrapped in warm PJs, indulging in ice cream, and soaking in the quiet beauty of mountain life.
