Family Adventures in Kintamani: Coffee, Cold Showers & Rainbow Slides

Loading video player...

Day 3 in Kintamani and still no hot water in our cabin showers… thankfully the other two cabins had hot baths and “kind of” warm showers to keep us going. The joys of mountain life! We started the morning climbing further up the mountain in search of coffee and breakfast — and found our new fave café, @ritatkala.batur . Amazing coffee, delicious food, and really great value. This one is a must if you’re in Kintamani. Post-breakie adventure took us to the @thegrandlagunas — think school camp vibes with a rainbow slide, flying fox, tree top jungle walk, and a high ropes course. Such a fun (and unexpected) family activity in Kintamani! We wrapped up the day back at the cabins to maybe get some hot water, chilled for the afternoon, then headed to @milusidecafe — a little food truck style spot right on the water, perfect for sunset. Ended the night with a soak, warm PJs, and ice cream. Family road trips don’t get much better. Would you try the rainbow slide or stick to coffee and sunsets? 🌄☕🍦 Accomodation; @kintamani_breeze #BaliFamilyFinds #BaliWithKids #KintamaniBali #BaliFamilyTravel #ExploreBali

Day 3 in Kintamani brought chilly mountain air and… still no hot water in our cabin showers. Ah, mountain life! Thankfully, the other two cabins had hot baths and “sort-of” warm showers to keep us from turning into icicles. To warm up, we climbed higher into the hills in search of coffee and found an absolute gem — @ritatkala.batur. Picture piping hot cappuccinos, hearty breakfast plates, and a cozy mountain vibe that made us want to linger all morning. If you’re in Kintamani, this café is a must! Fueled and caffeinated, our next stop was @thegrandlagunas — think school camp meets adventure park with a rainbow slide, flying fox, treetop jungle walks, and a high ropes course. It was the kind of place that surprised us — tucked away in the highlands, yet packed with fun for the whole family. Even the adults couldn’t resist a turn down that rainbow slide! We headed back to the cabins for a chill afternoon (did we finally get hot water? Kind of!) and later made our way to @milusidecafe for an unforgettable sunset. This little food truck-style spot sits right on the lake’s edge and serves up street eats with a view to match. Perfect for winding down after a big day. With bellies full and skies glowing pink, we ended the night wrapped in warm PJs, indulging in ice cream, and soaking in the quiet beauty of mountain life. Day 3 was a sweet mix of adventure and slow moments — just the way we like it. Would you try the rainbow slide or stick to coffee and sunsets? Either way, Kintamani has something for every kind of family traveler. ☕🌄🌈
