We had just arrived in Bali, booked Japan for a few months later, and had big plans to explore even more of the world that year. But then, the world shut down. Suddenly, we found ourselves locked away in North Queensland, far from family. In hindsight, we had it pretty easy—lots of time together, swimming, playing in the yard, and our first experience with online schooling. While we had to let go of our travel plans, we poured our energy into something new.
