Discovering a Hidden Café Gem in Ubud: A Serene Family Food Stop After Batik Bliss
After our calming, creative morning at Widya Batik, we were floating on that peaceful Bali high—but hunger was definitely starting to creep in 😅 So before making the drive home, we decided to find a little local café to refuel and reflect. We wandered just a few minutes away and stumbled across this tiny, tucked-away gem of a spot—and wow, sometimes it’s the places with no name, no Instagram, no fanfare that leave the biggest impression. 🌿 We grabbed a table overlooking their blooming orchids and the family's private temple in the backyard, and it was honestly just one of those sweet, quiet Bali moments that feel almost sacred in their simplicity. The kids ordered smoothie bowls—which they declared the best they’ve ever had, and they’ve tried a lot in Bali! Fresh, colourful, and gone in seconds. And me? I went for coffee and dessert (because why not?), and I’m giving it a solid 9.7/10. The coffee was strong, the cake was moist and not too sweet—just perfect. ☕🍰 Even more lovely than the food were the kind staff—gentle smiles, welcoming energy, and prices that made us double-check we hadn’t misread the menu. Sometimes it’s not the flashy spots or the ones with thousands of followers that make your day—it’s the little family-run places, doing things with heart, just quietly being amazing. 💛 If you're around Ubud after a batik class or exploring the rice fields, keep your eyes open. You might just find a little oasis like this too. 📍 Mula Ubud #BaliWithKids #UbudEats #HiddenGemsBali #SupportLocalBali #ChadAndMia #BaliFamilyFinds #SmoothieBowlHeaven #NoTagJustLove #BaliFoodieMoments #UbudCafes
