I need the Kindle community to come through for me because I have a problem. ๐ Five months ago, I bought a Kindle Paperwhite. It lives in a case, has never been dropped, and has been treated with more care than most things I own. Last night, a mysterious white line appeared down the screen. Iโve restarted it. Iโve tried the suggested fixes. Nothing. The seller has directed me to Amazon, and navigating their international warranty support has been a whole other story. But hereโs my very unserious conspiracy theoryโฆ Amazon has just rolled out new Kindles, new covers AND page-turner remotes. And suddenly my perfectly good Kindle develops a fault?โฆ. Iโm not saying anything, but Iโm watching you, Amazon. ๐๐ In all seriousness, has anyone experienced this? Can it be repaired? Is it a screen issue? Has anyone successfully claimed a warranty on a Kindle bought through an international seller? I really donโt want to buy another one if this can be fixed.
