Mountain Mornings and Rainbow Slides: A Kintamani Family Adventure

Loading video player...

Day 3 in Kintamani and still no hot water in our cabin showers… thankfully the other two cabins had hot baths and “kind of” warm showers to keep us going. The joys of mountain life! We started the morning climbing further up the mountain in search of coffee and breakfast — and found our new fave café, @ritatkala.batur . Amazing coffee, delicious food, and really great value. This one is a must if you’re in Kintamani. Post-breakie adventure took us to the @thegrandlagunas — think school camp vibes with a rainbow slide, flying fox, tree top jungle walk, and a high ropes course. Such a fun (and unexpected) family activity in Kintamani! We wrapped up the day back at the cabins to maybe get some hot water, chilled for the afternoon, then headed to @milusidecafe — a little food truck style spot right on the water, perfect for sunset. Ended the night with a soak, warm PJs, and ice cream. Family road trips don’t get much better. Would you try the rainbow slide or stick to coffee and sunsets? 🌄☕🍦 Accomodation; @kintamani_breeze #BaliFamilyFinds #BaliWithKids #KintamaniBali #BaliFamilyTravel #ExploreBali

Day 3 in the mountains of Kintamani, and still no hot water in our cabin showers — mountain life keeps us humbled! Thankfully, the other two cabins had warmish showers and blissful hot baths, enough to keep spirits high for another big day of adventure.

Our morning mission: coffee and breakfast. We climbed a little higher and discovered @ritatkala.batur, now easily our favorite café in Kintamani. With rich, aromatic brews, hearty meals, and prices that won’t break your Bali budget, it’s a must-visit for foodies and families alike. The mountain views? Absolutely dreamy.

Fueled up, we headed for some unexpected family fun at @thegrandlagunas. Think high ropes, flying fox, and a rainbow slide straight out of a kids’ dream. The whole place gives off vintage school camp vibes in the best way possible. The tree top jungle walk was a hit with our little explorers, and the rainbow slide had everyone laughing (and maybe squealing) all the way down. Who said Kintamani was just for volcano hikes?

By late afternoon, we were back at @kintamani\_breeze, crossing fingers for hot water (it’s the little things). After some well-earned downtime, we made our sunset stop at @milusidecafe — a charming, laid-back food truck spot perched on the water’s edge. The vibe was relaxed, the views were golden, and the ice cream... let’s just say it was the perfect mountain nightcap.

So, are you team rainbow slide or team coffee & sunset views? Either way, Kintamani proves that a Bali family trip is so much more than beaches — there’s real magic in the mountains.
