✨ Making Jamu in My Bali Kitchen (Yes, it spilled on my shirt—and it was worth it!) ✨ If you've wandered the streets of Bali, you've probably seen someone sipping a small glass of golden Jamu. This traditional Indonesian herbal drink is more than just pretty—it’s packed with natural goodness. Think immunity support, anti-inflammatory power, and a gentle energy boost all in one. Now, we're bringing Bali’s beloved drink straight into our own kitchen—and trust me, even with a turmeric stain or two, it's absolutely worth it. Here’s our go-to Jamu recipe: 🥕 1 cup fresh turmeric (peeled & chopped) 🫚 ½ cup fresh ginger (peeled & chopped) 💧 4 cups water 🍍 Juice of 1 lime 🍯 2 tbsp honey (local honey gives it that Bali flair!) ➡️ Step 1: Blend turmeric, ginger & water until smooth. ➡️ Step 2: Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a large bowl. ➡️ Step 3: Add honey and lime juice, stir well. Chill in the fridge. We bottle ours in glass jars and keep it cool—it’s refreshing, especially on one of Bali’s warm afternoons. For families, a slightly sweeter version makes it kid-approved, and you’ve got a wellness boost the whole crew can enjoy. Pro tip: Wear an apron! Turmeric is famously bold and doesn't play nice with white shirts… lesson learned. 😉 Making Jamu is one beautiful (and delicious) way to connect with local Balinese traditions. Mix up a batch and say cheers to health, naturally! #JamuRecipe #BaliKitchenDiaries #TraditionalJamu #BaliWellness #FamilyHealthBali #NaturalRemedies #ImmuneSupport
