Lola had the cutest idea — that we each work on the same crochet project, side by side. How could I possibly say no?
We started at a new-to-us wool shop called Wool and Wonder (so many pretty colours!), picked out our next yarn, and then headed across the road to Kolaborasi Untuk Desa — a 100% plant-based café that’s as delicious as it is cosy. Snacks, giggles, and some seriously special stitches made this the perfect girls’ day out. 💕

There’s something magical about crafting together — and in Bali, even a casual crochet date with your child turns into a memory to treasure. On a sunny afternoon, my daughter Lola suggested we each take on the same crochet project, side by side. With that sweet spark of inspiration, our mother-daughter adventure began.

The staff were so welcoming, offering tips and encouragement that added even more warmth to the experience.
Next, we wandered just across the road to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/koodbali" target="\_blank">Kolaborasi Untuk Desa (KOOD)</a>, a 100% plant-based café known for its heartwarming dishes and cozy atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and the smell of fresh coffee and cinnamon, we sipped smoothies, nibbled on cinnamon rolls, and got to work on our stitches. Giggles were shared over tangled threads, stories swapped with every loop, and each row brought us closer — both to finishing our pieces and to each other.
