If you're planning a family trip to Bali, Nusa Penida should definitely be on your radar! We recently wrapped up our island adventure and answered all your most-asked questions about visiting Nusa Penida with kids. Here's everything you need to know before you go:

⏳ How many days should you stay?
We recommend at least 2-3 days to really enjoy what Nusa Penida has to offer without rushing. It gives enough time to explore highlights like Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong, and Crystal Bay while factoring in rest and family-friendly pacing.

🌊 Is it safe for kids to swim?
Some beaches have strong currents, so always check local conditions. Crystal Bay is one of the more kid-friendly spots with calmer water – but supervision is key. Avoid cliffside beaches for swimming.

💸 What’s the island tax?
There’s a small tourism tax for entering Nusa Penida, usually included with your fast boat ticket (about IDR 25,000 pp). It's a small cost that goes toward island upkeep.

🚗 How do families get around?
We hired a private driver, and it was totally worth it. Roads are bumpy and narrow, and distances between attractions are longer than they seem. If you're not confident on a scooter, skip it with kids in tow.

🌺 Is it worth it with kids?
Absolutely! Despite the rugged roads, the island's natural beauty is unforgettable. With good planning, it’s a magical and memorable family trip. Just take it slow and enjoy the journey!
