People often ask us why we don’t just sign a long-term lease in Bali and save money. The truth is, after living here for a few years, we’ve realised that houses can change a lot over time. What looks perfect on day one might not feel the same two years later. There’s also the reality that longer leases usually mean paying years of rent upfront, and for us, that’s simply not a huge amount of cash we have sitting around.
