You’re on holiday in Bali… and suddenly there’s a snake in your villa 😳🐍 This actually happened to us tonight. It’s one of those moments that feels hectic, but honestly it’s more common than you’d think here, and most of the time they’re just passing through. If this happens to you on holiday, here’s what to do 👇 • Stay calm and keep your distance Most snakes want nothing to do with you. Give it space and avoid sudden movements. • Move kids and pets away Keep everyone back and keep eyes on the snake without crowding it. • Don’t try to catch it Even harmless snakes can bite if they feel threatened. Not worth the risk. • Call your villa staff This is the easiest option for tourists. They deal with this all the time and will know who to contact locally. • If unsure, treat it as venomous Especially at night when visibility is low. Always better to be cautious. • Close doors if you can If it’s safe, try to keep it contained in one area until help arrives. Quick Bali snake guide 🧠 Hood = cobra → stay away Black & white stripes = krait → dangerous Big thick snake = python → keep distance Small house snake = usually harmless It’s all part of tropical living… and definitely a story you’ll be telling when you get home 😅 If you’re not sure what to do, you can call Ron Lilley’s Bali Snake Patrol, they’re the pros and will come handle it safely.
