๐ SUDDENLY YOU BUY A CAR... AND BALI STARTS TO FEEL LIKE HOME. ๐ดโค๏ธ It's funny how something as simple as buying a car can make life in another country feel a little more settled. We've always been a road trip family. Even when the kids were little, we'd pile everyone into the car and head off somewhere. Sometimes we'd have a plan, sometimes we'd just pick a direction and see where we ended up... Heck... Sometimes we would just drive across Australia until we hit water! So having a car here in Bali feels like a little piece of home. Yes, we have bikes and they're brilliant for everyday life. Getting around, grabbing groceries, dropping in somewhere for a coffee... But there's something different about all six of us piling into the car together. Windows down, music on, snacks everywhere, someone asking how much longer, and heading off to explore somewhere new. Or sometimes just heading somewhere because we want to spend the day together. For us, a car has always meant freedom. ๐๐ด And now that we've bought one here, we've apparently added another very important job to our weekly Bali life... WASHING THE CAR. ๐ Did you know there's a 24-hour DIY car wash in Sanur, right out on the bypass? We bought a key fob, added some credit and now we can wash the car whenever we like. Honestly... perfect. ๐ No waiting around, no booking, just pull in, top up the credit and give the car a good clean. Because apparently this is adulthood in Bali now. Road trips, family adventures... and washing the car. ๐๐ And you know what? I kind of love it. ๐ดโค๏ธ
