These tiny babies were found after being dumped at just one week old. No mum. No warmth. No chance of surviving on their own. Today, they’ve all opened their eyes, they’re feeding well and growing stronger every day. Watching them fight so hard for life has been equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring. Unfortunately, animal abandonment is still a huge issue in Bali. Every day, puppies and kittens are left in boxes, on roadsides, in markets and outside temples, relying on the kindness of strangers to survive. But alongside that heartbreaking reality are some truly incredible people. One organisation doing life-changing work is @villakittyfoundation They rescue abandoned, abused and injured cats and kittens, provide veterinary care, sterilisation, rehabilitation and, when possible, find them loving forever homes. They also educate local communities and rely almost entirely on donations to continue their work.
