๐ Today we witnessed another motorbike accident. It was one of those moments that stops you in your tracks and reminds you just how quickly everything can change. If you're visiting Bali and planning on using Grab or Gojek, please, please wear a helmet. I know they're not glamorous. I know they can mess up your hair. I know they don't make for the perfect Instagram photo. But they might save your life. Your driver will almost always have a spare helmet. If they don't, buy one when you arrive in Bali. They're inexpensive, easy to find and when your holiday is over, donate it to someone who needs it. No holiday photo is worth the risk. And while we're on the subject... @grabid and @gojekindonesia if there's one feature I'd love to see, it's this: ๐ Give drivers the option to decline or cancel a ride if a passenger refuses to wear a helmet, without it affecting their ratings or earnings. Drivers shouldn't have to choose between their safety, their passenger's safety and their income. At the end of the day, everyone deserves to get home safely. If this post convinces even one person to put a helmet on before jumping on a scooter in Bali, it'll be worth sharing. โค๏ธ
