How We Turned Our Ubud Batik Creations into Lasting Family Keepsakes
After our beautiful morning at the batik class in Ubud, we were left with the question… what do we actually do with these special pieces now? Because let’s be real — they were too meaningful to just fold up and forget, and far too pretty to keep tucked in a drawer. Luckily, here in Sanur we’re spoiled with a local art shop that’s become a bit of a second home for us — especially with homeschool life in full swing. Down the back of the shop is a little framing section (blink and you’ll miss it!) and it’s been so handy for things just like this. We go there at least once a month — from hunting for craft supplies and materials for projects, to grabbing canvas and paint for our eldest who's discovering a real love for art and learning to work with paint. It’s one of those spots that’s quietly become part of our rhythm here, supporting both our creativity and schooling journey. So we took in our batik creations, had them professionally framed, and they turned out better than we imagined. Now they’re protected, celebrated and ready to go up on the wall… if we can figure out how to hang them on concrete without drilling into the whole house. 😂 Still, they’re bringing colour and culture into our space and each one tells a story — of patience, process, and learning something new together. If you're in Sanur and have artworks or homeschool projects you want to display properly, definitely check out your local art supply store — they’re little treasure troves! #BatikArt #FramedWithLove #SanurBali #HomeschoolingInBali #BaliFamilyFinds #CreativeKids #BaliLife #LivingInBali #FamilyAdventures #ChadAndMia #HomeschoolLife #BaliCrafts #BaliFraming #TangibleMemories #ExpatInBali
