What My Women’s Health & HRT Appointment in Bali Really Cost

Loading video player...

After sharing my first video, I had so many questions about the costs involved in my women’s health appointment here in Bali—so I wanted to break it down clearly for anyone curious or considering it for themselves. This was my first step in exploring HRT (hormone replacement therapy), and I can’t tell you how valuable it felt to sit down with a doctor who really took the time to listen and explain. For those asking about the details: in this video I go through the consultation fee, the bloodwork, and additional tests recommended. I’ll pop a link to Dr Haver’s book (on FB) as well—it’s been a fantastic resource to help me understand more about what’s happening with my body. If you’re looking into HRT while in Bali (or even just starting your research), I encourage you to follow along with this journey. I’ll be updating again once I have my results back, and I’ll continue sharing honestly about both the process and the costs so you know what to expect. For me, knowledge is power—and if this helps even one other woman feel less alone or more informed, it’s worth every second of sharing. @bali_internationalhospital #WomensHealth #HRTJourney #HormoneHealth #BaliLife #BaliFamilyFinds

After sharing my first video on navigating women’s health care in Bali, I’ve received dozens of questions—particularly around the cost of my initial HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) appointment. So here’s a transparent breakdown for anyone curious or currently researching their own hormone journey while in Bali. This was my first appointment exploring HRT, and I can’t overstate the relief I felt sitting with a doctor who truly listened. The consultation at Bali International Hospital was IDR 600,000 (around USD 40), which included a thorough discussion of my symptoms, health history, and what to expect moving forward. From there, I was sent for comprehensive bloodwork, which cost about IDR 2,500,000 (roughly USD 165). This covered hormone levels, thyroid function, and a general health panel. The clinic was professional, efficient, and the staff made me feel completely at ease—something I deeply appreciated being far from home. In addition, my doctor recommended pelvic and breast ultrasounds as part of a full women’s health check—those were priced around IDR 1,200,000 combined (approximately USD 80). Altogether, the day’s costs came to about USD 285, which felt very reasonable for the level of care I received. If you’re considering health services or HRT during your time in Bali, I highly recommend starting with a trusted provider like Bali International Hospital. I’ll be sharing an update once I receive my test results and begin discussions around treatment options. For those wanting to dive deeper into understanding HRT, I’ve also linked Dr. Mary Claire Haver’s book over on my Facebook—it’s been such a valuable resource. Looking after ourselves while living or traveling abroad can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. If this helps even one woman feel more informed and empowered, I’m glad to share every step. #WomensHealth #HRTJourney #BaliLife #BaliFamilyFinds
