Ditching the Valentine’s Day Norm: Celebrating Love Every Day

Ditching the Valentine’s Day Norm: Celebrating Love Every Day

It’s funny, we’re not really Valentine’s Day people. Chad and I have spent every Valentine’s together since 2003, but our celebration doesn’t look like most people’s. We don’t do gifts, no bouquets of flowers, and definitely no sappy cards. In fact, our usual routine is just rolling over in the morning, exchanging a quick “Happy Valentine’s Day,” and moving on with our day—nothing fancy, nothing forced. To be honest, we both feel that a surprise bouquet or a meaningful gift is far more special when it’s given on an ordinary day. That’s when it feels real, when it’s not tied to some holiday expectation. We’re not anti-Valentine’s, but we’re definitely not pro-Valentine’s either. For us, love is something that should be celebrated all year long, not just one day a year. What’s been interesting, though, is how the world around us has created a lot of pressure around this day. Whether you’re team roses or team “it’s just another day,” it always seems like you’re supposed to pick a side. So, we wanted to share our version of Valentine’s Day—a low-key, no-pressure kind of love that’s been working for us for over two decades. What about you guys? Are you all about the roses, chocolates, and fancy dinners or are you more in our camp—celebrating love the other 364 days of the year? 💖 Tell us where you stand! 👇 #ValentinesDay #LoveEveryday #ChadAndMia #NoPressureLove

**Ditching the Valentine’s Day Norm: Celebrating Love Every Day** It’s funny—Valentine’s Day has never been a big deal for us. For over two decades, Chad and I have spent every February 14th together, but you won’t find us exchanging elaborate gifts or planning candlelit dinners. Instead, it’s a simple “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the morning before we carry on with our usual routine. No pressure, no expectations—just the way we like it. We’ve always believed that love doesn’t need a holiday to be celebrated. A spontaneous bouquet on a random Tuesday? That feels way more special than flowers given out of obligation. A heartfelt note left on the fridge? That beats a mass-produced greeting card any day. Love, in its truest form, shines in the small, everyday moments—the ones that aren’t captured for social media but are deeply felt between two people. What’s interesting, though, is how much pressure society places on this one day. Whether you go all out with grand gestures or see it as just another date on the calendar, it often feels like you have to choose a stance. But what if love wasn’t confined to one day? What if we made every moment count, whether at home or traveling to beautiful places like Bali? Imagine watching the sunrise with your partner on a secluded beach, sharing a quiet breakfast overlooking Ubud’s lush rice terraces, or laughing together in the middle of a bustling Bali market. Those are the real moments of love—the ones that last far beyond February 14th. Are you all about the Valentine’s Day tradition, or do you prefer celebrating love every day? Let’s chat in the comments! 💖👇 #ValentinesDay #LoveEveryday #TravelWithLove #BaliCouplesGetaway
