Day 2 in Kintamani was all about slowing down and re-familiarising ourselves with the area.
We started with breakfast in our room (while the team worked hard on fixing the hot water situation!).
Luckily, we had two other cabins to sneak into for hot baths — which the kids turned into a daytime spa session with volcanic water and bath bombs.
The rest of the day was spent noticing all the construction happening around the area, sneaking in some cafe stops, then resting up before heading out for a cosy dinner.
We ended the night just how we started — hot bath, socks, jumpers, and straight into bed.
Kintamani tip: it gets chilly up here, so don’t forget to pack your warm layers, even in Bali’s “dry season.”

Day 2 in Kintamani was all about pressing pause and soaking in the quiet charm of Bali’s highlands. After a restful night, we kicked off the day with a simple in-room breakfast — just us, mountain views, and the sound of soft winds outside. Meanwhile, the hardworking staff tackled the unexpected hot water hiccup.

Thankfully, we had access to two other snug cabins at @kintamani\_breeze — and let’s just say, the kids turned this into a mini spa experience! With natural volcanic water streaming through the tubs and fizzy bath bombs in action, it was probably their favorite part of the day.

The slower pace gave us time to observe all the changes in the area. There’s quite a bit of construction happening in Kintamani — signs that more people are discovering this hidden gem. We made a few cozy café stops, sampling warm drinks and local pastries (perfect for the cool weather!) before heading back for some downtime and dinner.

As the sun dipped below the rim of Mt. Batur, we bundled into socks and sweaters — yes, warm clothes in Bali! — and nestled into bed after another steamy soak. A peaceful end to a slow and meaningful day.

Kintamani travel tip: It can get surprisingly chilly here, especially at night. Always pack a few warm layers, even during Bali’s dry season.
