Creamy Bacon Pasta: The Ultimate 20-Minute Family Comfort Meal

Some meals just feel like home. The kind that don’t need fancy ingredients or hours in the kitchen, just a few simple things thrown together and suddenly you’ve got a dish that fills bellies and hearts at the same time. For us, “creamy bacon pasta” (as it’s known in our house) is exactly that. A handful of ingredients, 20 minutes on the stove, and dinner is served — no complaints, no negotiations, no “I don’t like that.” Just clean plates, full tummies, and happy faces around the table. It’s become our little family comfort meal, especially on cooler Bali evenings when the breeze sneaks in and we’re craving something warm, creamy, and cozy. Not fancy, not fussy, but always perfect. And since so many of you ask for easy family meals, here’s the recipe: Creamy Bacon Pasta (our family version) Pasta of your choice (we usually go with penne or spaghetti) A few rashers of bacon, chopped 2 cloves of garlic, crushed Handful of cherry tomatoes, halved A pinch of dried herbs (oregano + basil are our go-to) A couple handfuls of spinach 1 tsp stock powder 200ml cream How to make it: Cook your pasta until al dente. Save a little pasta water. In a pan, fry bacon until golden. Add garlic and herbs, cook until fragrant. Toss in cherry tomatoes and let them soften. Stir through spinach until just wilted. Pour in cream + stock powder, stir until it’s silky. Add a splash of pasta water if needed. Toss pasta through the sauce and serve immediately. Dinner is done — quick, comforting, and guaranteed to make the whole table happy. Because sometimes the best meals aren’t about “what’s new,” they’re about what feels like home.
